Volunteer at Adventure Burica

Come live off-grid in the jungle, help with real hands-on projects, and walk to the ocean when the work is done.

What is Adventure Burica?

Adventure Burica is a small off-grid homestead and eco-adventure project on Costa Rica’s wild Burica Peninsula. I’m up on a jungle ridge above the ocean, slowly building simple structures, planting food, and creating a spot for people who want real nature and real work — not a polished resort.

What Volunteers Do

Help with the Land

Clearing, planting, maintaining trails, moving rocks and dirt, taking care of trees and gardens, and helping keep the place from turning back into full jungle overnight.

Building Projects

Simple construction work: mixing cement, hauling materials, basic carpentry, painting, and helping with small structures as the project grows.

Daily Life Tasks

Cleaning shared spaces, helping with meals, washing dishes, organizing tools, and jumping in wherever an extra set of hands is needed that day.

What We Offer

A simple place to sleep (tent or basic room depending on space and season), jungle and ocean all around, and time to surf or explore once the work is done.

Power is mostly solar, water matters, and things are still very much “in progress.” There’s Starlink internet so you can message family or do some remote work, but this is not a fancy hotel.

If you like real, raw Costa Rica — sweat, mud, rain, stars, and monkeys — you’ll probably love it here.
